Maintenance, Services & Training
Periodic maintenance is a must for mechanical and electronic devices with few exceptions (computers not being one of those). We have performed PM for many of our business clients for 15+ years and have found that inarguably:
· Downtime is significantly decreased > more profit or your business
· Efficiency is increased > saves power & systems run faster
· Equipment life is prolonged > bang for the $$
· Security and data loss threats significantly decreased > peace of mind
· The list goes on, but need we say more?
Did you know that Microsoft releases up to 45 updates PER MONTH on their current
operating systems? These are in response to bug fixes, security exploits, compatibility,
etc. But if you don’t know which ones to install, or when, you may be doing a great
disservice to your computer and perhaps your entire network / data structure.
Our well-refined checklist (of more than 15 preventative maintenance services) is performed on each and every machine under the plan at your business.
Granted, several of these services are things that many end-users know HOW to do, but do not have the TIME… we do our job to keep you up and running in order to perform yours. We run updated system reports on your hardware specifications that may come in handy for archival, inventory, system recovery and support purposes.
We will let you know if you need additional equipment, space, software, etc. in order to
make your business run more efficiently, or in many cases, prevent system crashes and
data loss.
We can also help with minor questions and issues while performing PM to save
unneeded service call fees!
Training
Many organizations neglect the business computer training which would enable employees to use IT effectively. Software and computer training can be the missing piece of a company’s IT strategy
Training helps you make the most of your investment in IT. Having employees who know how to do things properly will make your company more efficient, cutting business IT support costs and streamlining business processes.
Additionally, the right software training can reduce frustration amongst your staff. There’s nothing worse than wrestling with a computer to make it do what you want – especially when it might only take a brief training session to learn how to do it.
Mainstream Technologies can point out and help you with the benefits of computer and software training. These benefits do need to be weighed up against the costs, but most companies will benefit from some formal business computer training.
Many companies use on the job computer training almost exclusively. Although encouraging employees to pass knowledge on to each other is important, putting too much faith in on the job training can result in bad practices becoming entrenched in your business. Besides, without a formal structure, it’s hard to be certain your employees are getting training that will improve their IT skills and benefit your business.
The best way to assess your computer training requirements is to allow us to perform a training needs analysis.
We will ascertain from you and your staff - what specific help is needed, and look at how your business is performing. We will find out if you are using IT in a way that helps meet your business objectives, what the weaknesses are, and structure an appropriate computer training plan to help you overcome these weaknesses.
